Sustainability Analyst CO2 emissions

Nieuw

Functie omschrijving

BISCI is pleased to offer the role Supply Chain sustainability Analyst. One of BISCI’s main activities is to share knowledge and experience about sustainability. Therefore, it is key to closely monitor the latest sustainability trends.

The intern will work in an autonomous way, closely supported by BISCI project managers. The role consists of in principle answering the question: “ How much CO2 is consumed per kilometre per ton per modality (and likely further subcategorization)?”. Much information does exist, but not in an easily accessible format for decision makers, the goal is to collate this data, provide insights and analysis and consumable information for business managers.

This internship is a unique opportunity to learn about sustainability, more specifically in supply chains. You will further develop your structured analysis skills and learn to take a critical stance towards public communications around sustainability.

Requirements are to have a background or strong interest in sustainability and supply chain management. Additionally, the student is expected to actively develop his/her analytical skillset and have a strong eagerness to learn.

The activities of the internship consist of:

  • Collation of secondary data on CO2 emissions by transport modality
  • Extrapolation and use of strong theoretically underpinned assumptions to fill data gaps
  • Analysis of data collected
  • Presentation of data in easily understood and high-quality visual formats
  • Supporting the answering of further sub-questions with the data identified
