Specialist scientific information for Business and Economics
What are you going to do?
You will assist SBE students in the process of searching, finding and integer usage of scientific information (both literature and data). In addition to that, you provide training and workshops for SBE students and maintain online educational material in the field of (digital) information and research skills (including the reference tool EndNote). This includes updating the Data Search Support site and providing information on the content and use of databases with company data and statistics, and providing information on the content and use of other databases in the SBE domain.
You will contribute to advising the SBE library committee on purchase/cancellation decisions and use of (digital packages with) journals, (e-) books and databases.
You work in close cooperation and under the supervision of the specialist scientific information for SBE within the team Skills & Academic Support.
Who are we looking for?
A colleague with knowledge in the field of business and economics, studying or working at SBE. Experience in teaching is a plus. Who has excellent English language skills (knowledge of the Dutch Language is an advantage).
Who is highly motivated, has a service-minded attitude and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Who is able to work in a team as well as independently.
Do you have experience in performing research and academic writing? Are you familiar with the SBE databases (Business Source Complete, EconLit) and the reference tool EndNote and do you have knowledge of company data and statistics (Orbis, WRDS, FactSet)?
A temporary job for two years with flexible working hours (0-hour contract, average 16 hours per week) in which you can develop your own academic skills. You have the opportunity to participate in the library teaching staff professionalization program. Salary will differentiate for students or teaching staff. Your contract will be arranged via InterUM.
