Market Research & Business Development Internship

Your team

You will join the Business development team at SkillLab and will work closely with Azza. She is one of SkillLab’s co-founders. She manages our accounts in the MENA region and GCC countries and leads outreach and partnership endeavors in those regions.

Your role

SkillLab is a growing scale-up that partners globally with the leading organisations that are or serve employment services. During your internship, you will help SkillLab to identify new market trends and opportunities for business growth. You will also support the Business Development team by sharing your research findings and assisting in translation or communication tasks.

What you will do

• You will conduct market research in the MENA region, with a focus on the GCC countries, to gain relevant information related to the employment services and market trends.

• You will analyze and synthesize research findings to identify opportunities and challenges in the market.

• You will prepare reports and presentations to share with the Business Development team.

• You will help draft concept notes and proposals for prospective clients and partners in the MENA region.

Benefits

• This is a paid internship. If you live in Amsterdam or relocate to Amsterdam during your internship, then the monthly reimbursement is will be 1.000 EUR.

• You can do the internship by living in another city in the Netherlands and commuting to the office 1-2 days per week. If you do the internship remotely, then the monthly reimbursement will be 700 EUR. SkillLab covers your train commuting expenses to Amsterdam.

• We accept applications on rolling basis and we envision a start date in early May.

Requirements

Is this you?

• You have some experience in market research & business development (through other internships and/or academic work).

• You can independently conduct desk research and summarize the information in a digestible format.

• You have an understanding of the MENA region and GCC countries.

• You are proficient in both Arabic and English.

• You are currently enrolled as a student or graduated within the last 12 months.

• You are able to commit to a 4-6 month internship.

Extra awesome

• You are passionate about the field of employability and labour market inclusion.

• In addition to Arabic and English, you are proficient in French.

• You have a good understanding of technical solutions.

3. We will invite you for a 60min interview if we find that you are a good fit. The interview will involve you preparing a short assignment.
